Sauteing an onion brings out its natural sugars, adding depth and flavor to anything from pizza to steak!
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
1 large yellow onion
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Method:
Peel the skin off the onion with a paring knife. Cut the onion in half and then cut thin slices going with the grain. In a medium non-stick skillet, heat the butter until melted, then add the onions. Cover the pan and cook over medium heat until they are translucent. Continue to cook, stirring until the onions start to brown slightly. Stir until all of the onions turn a soft, luminescent brown. Serve as desired.
